On September 28, a delegation of Suzhou University of Science and Technology headed by Principal Chen Zhigang visited Zimbabwe and held Talks with the University’s former Zimbabwean Trainees. Officials from Zimbabwe Ministry of Energy and Power Development, Ministry of Environment, Water and Climate, Ministry of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing and Civil Aviation Authority attended the meeting.
For the recent years, the Chinese government has been providing training courses and seminars in various areas for officials, experts and technicians from foreign countries to assist in their capacity building development. Suzhou University of Science and Technology is one of the designated Institutions to organize courses and seminars in the field of environmental protection and logistics. The purpose of the delegation’s visit is to review and evaluate the training courses so as to improve the effectiveness of the programs and seek ways to expand bilateral capacity building cooperation in the future.
